International Life Saving Federation Partners with Brisbane for 2032 Games

Elevate 2042: A Vision for the Future

The International Life Saving Federation (ILS) has announced its partnership with key stakeholders in Brisbane to develop Elevate 2042, a 20-year vision for the 2032 Brisbane Games.

The ILS will work closely with Surf Life Saving Australia and other partners to enhance water safety and lifesaving initiatives in the lead-up to and beyond the Games.

Australian Culture and the Games

The 2032 Brisbane Games will showcase the unique Australian culture, including didgeridoos, surfing, and the Irwins. This partnership will highlight the importance of water safety and lifesaving in the Australian way of life.

The Olympic Rings and Agitos will be unveiled in Brisbane and South East Queensland over the weekend of July 22-23, further solidifying the partnership between the ILS and the 2032 Brisbane Games.

Life Saving Bid on Home Games Program

Leading figures in the Australian water safety community have expressed their support for the inclusion of lifesaving as a medal sport in the 2032 Brisbane Games. This would be a significant milestone in the recognition of lifesaving as a vital skill and profession.

The partnership between the ILS and the 2032 Brisbane Games represents a commitment to promoting water safety and celebrating Australian culture on a global stage.
